Slowly into spring with variations of “Blue & White”

I hope everyone is enjoying the sunny days with spring breeze…we can now reassuringly see the longer and brighter days – perhaps the warmer evenings are yet to come but surely it’s around the corner from us.

Added to“A scent of spring”, our seasonal online store collection is a large centre piece plate by Shoji Kudo.  (picture on the left) The collection focuses on its warmer and sweeter season of the year.   Continuing still with our central motif of “mingei” there will be items with variations of “blue & white”, and beyond.  The picture on the left is one of the items, large centre piece plate by Shoji Kudo.  This particular pomegranate reappears in Baizan studio’s plates as he taught the design to the craftsman at the studio.  However this one on his smooth, polished and sublime white porcelain it appears to be utterly divine.
